Pre-Starts can be completed through the VIPER Operator App. Supervisors can then view information submitted.
Important: "UPDATE DATA" needs to be selected at the beginning of your shift with internet connection. This will ensure all previous data is fetched and new data is uploaded.
Open the VIPER Operator App and select "UPDATE DATA" at the beginning of your shift. If successful, a green pop-up will appear notifying you data has been updated.
Note: The below buttons can be accessed through the Menu by selecting the 3 horizontal lines at the top left hand corner.
Next, select the "NEW INSPECTIONS" button at the top right hand corner.
Select the drop down arrow, and choose the Pre-Start you are about to complete.
To confirm, press the "SELECT" button at the bottom right of the pop-up.
Select the drop down arrow and choose the Asset you are completing the Pre-Start for.
The App will auto-fill the Asset information stored within VIPER Metrics.
Scroll down and enter the empty text fields.
Note: The App will notify you if the SMU data doesn't align with the previously logged Data, prompting you to double check the Data.
To prevent accidental changes of all the above Data, select the unlocked icon. This can be unlocked at any time.
If you need to scroll down to the very bottom, the two down facing arrow icon will quickly take you there.
If the Asset you are completing a Pre-Start for has had Defects logged against it, you have the option to view these before starting the Pre-Start. Click the below buttons to view information.
Open Defects will appear as the below.
Recently closed Defects will appear as the below.
When going through the Pre-Start, select the tick icon to mark completed. Completed boxes will turn green.
When identifying a Defect, select the triangle icon with the "!", this will open up previously listed Defects.
If it is an existing Defect, select from the available options. If it is a new Defect, select the "+ DEFECT" icon.
Add Defect details, then select the tick icon at the bottom.
The below pop-up will appear to confirm, select "YES" to continue.
Ensure the relevant Defect is selected and select any others that are also applicable, then press "SAVE SELECTED".
To add a photo to the Defect, select the "UPLOAD PHOTO" button.
The box will appear green once all information of the Defect is recorded.
If you are re-identifying a Defect, select the triangle icon with the "!". The previously logged Defect will appear, ensure to select the Defect and save.
When you have completed a section, the below pop-up will appear. It is suggested to select "YES" to avoid accidentally altering data whilst completing the remainder of the Pre-Start.
Complete the remainder of the inspection, and select the tick at the bottom right hand corner to save.
If you have missed any questions, VIPER will prompt you to complete or save for later completion.
If the Pre-Start is completed, select "MARK COMPLETE AND SUBMIT".
Once you have submitted an Inspection, the Card will turn yellow. This means it is trying to sync and will remain in the background of VIPER until your device is within range of internet, where it will then automatically upload.
Any successfully uploaded Inspections/Data onto the server, will be highlighted green.
If the Pre-start requires end SMU data, update Data and resubmit at the end of shift. You can find previously submitted Pre-starts by selecting "MY INSPECTIONS" either from the home page or menu.
Next, select the Pre-Start you wish to update.
