Note: You will require the "Edit Assets" permission to access this
In VIPER Metrics, you can add specifications to an Asset. These include Maintenance Scheduling, Fluids and Lubricants, Asset Features, Generic Specs, Dimensions, or any other details that are specific to the Asset. This is helpful for storing information that you don't need everyday but you do want to be able to access down the track.
To edit the Specifications, navigate to the Asset Register and select the Asset you wish to add update.
Once the Asset information is open, select the Specifications Tab (far right tab).
To add new type of Specification, select the "+ SECTION" at the bottom of the page.
A new section will appear, select the temporary title "NEW SECTION" to update to the Specification type, select the tick icon on the right to save change.
After selecting the tick, a popup will appear, asking if you would like to save the changes, click the tick to confirm.
To add to a Specification, select the "+ SPECIFICATION" icon at the bottom of the section you are editing.
A pop-up will appear to edit, fill in the empty text fields.
Select the tick icon on the right to save.
When entering information to the Maintenance Scheduling, any information related to SMU, the below popup appear.
NOTE: the SMU type here will be automatically set in accordance with the "SMU Type" setup on the Assets information tab.
To update this, select the 'X" and go back to the Asset information tab. Select the pencil icon at the bottom right hand corner.
Edit the "Primary SMU Type" to the correct unit.
Select the tick at the bottom right corner to save.
Now you can continue to add Specifications related to SMU.
If specifications are the same as an Asset already uploaded into VIPER, you can copy the details by selecting the "COPY FROM ASSET" button at the top.
A pop up will appear, select the Asset whose Specifications you wish to copy across and press "SELECT ASSET"
The following popup will appear.
If you wish to copy all the Specifications across, click the "Select All" button, otherwise select the individual Specifications you wish to copy.
Once you have selected the ones you want, click the "Copy Selected Specs" button to copy these across.
A popup will appear asking to confirm, if the information is correct, select the "OK" button.
The selected Specifications will now be copied across.
